Education & Experience

Lindsey received her BA in Sociology from Texas Tech University in 2008 and completed her MA in Professional Counseling at Liberty University in 2014.  Lindsey’s work background includes mentoring and tutoring collegiate student athletes, serving as a houseparent for struggling teenagers at Heartlight Ministries, and ministry and administrative roles at Kanakuk Institute and Kanakuk Kamps.  After completing her Masters, Lindsey served as the Center Director for Austin LifeCare, a local pregnancy resource center, and spent a year in residency with Recovery Ministries at the Austin Stone.  She enjoys working with women in all stages of life—students, singles, marrieds, and moms and helping them see and experience Christ’s provision in their difficulties and struggles.

Interests & Specialties

Lindsey has experience working with anxiety, depression, singleness, relationship issues, faith struggles, shame/guilt, life transitions, and pregnancy issues, including crisis pregnancies and pregnancy loss through miscarriage or abortion.

Personal

Lindsey is a lifelong Texan and has called Austin home for almost 20 years.  She is an avid reader and has a particular love for historical fiction, memoirs, and Christian literature.  Her love for learning has led her to complete the Kanakuk Institute Ministry Training Program, Austin Stone’s Men’s and Women’s Development Program, and the Equipped to Counsel Biblical Counseling course. In her free time, Lindsey can be found spending time with friends and family—one of her most treasured roles in life is being Aunt LB to Jude and Hadley.
