Education and Experience

Katie earned her BA in Psychology in 2015 from Baylor University and will be graduating from St. Edward’s University with a MA in counseling and a dual license as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at the end of 2017. Katie believes that Jesus is the true counselor who will ultimately give us complete and true healing. Her hope is to provide her clients with a safe environment where they can be vulnerable and explore their past and present life experiences.

Katie is a Graduate Student Intern and is under the supervision of Shanda Anderson, LPC-S.

Interests & Specialties

Katie believes that counseling is a steady process of increasing awareness and learning. She has experience in working with life/role transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, singleness, spiritual struggles, grief and loss.


Katie is a true Austinite as she grew up here and has developed a deep love for the city and the people in it. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends, being out on the lake and a quality s’more from a campfire.
