Education & Experience
After receiving her Masters in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University at College Station, Leslie worked as an associate psychologist with at-risk children and families through a state program in several rural counties. From there, she has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, community mental health agency, therapeutic foster care, residential treatment center, schools, homes and human service agencies. She has worked with individual adults, adolescents, children, college students, families, couples and groups. Leslie has been LPC certified since 1998.
Interests & Specialties
Leslie truly enjoys working with people of all ages and helping them find a sense of balance and purpose and most importantly, real peace and joy through Jesus Christ. She has dealt with many issues including anxiety and depression, grief and loss, trauma, self-harm, abuse recovery, life transitions, relationship issues, eating disorders, shame/guilt, aging issues, and child-parent relationship struggles. With children, she employs play therapy as the best modality, and enjoys working with parents on improving parenting skills and communication with children.
She is a member of the Association of Biblical Counselors and the Association for Play Therapy.
