Education and Experience
Jessie received her Masters in Mental Health based Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has previous clinical experience at a Clubhouse, a strengths-based program for individuals with mental illness, at the Victim Intervention and Rape Crisis Center at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, and with a number of trafficking and trauma relief organizations. With an emphasis on both Christian and research-based clinical practice, Jessie is passionate about addressing the social, psychological, biological, and spiritual aspect of each client she works with. She believes that it is in the context of relationship that change, wholeness, and life happen. Her hope is to provide a safe space where her clients can come as they are to explore their relationships with themselves, their loved ones, their communities, and with God.
Jessie has extensive training in interpersonal neurobiology, attachment, and complex trauma and is a Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner via the Dr. Karyn Purvis TCU Institute of Child Development. She also has training in clinical theories such as CBT, Trauma Focused CBT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, and various experiential therapies such as sand tray and play therapy.

Interests and Specialties
Jessie works with adults, adolescents, and families on a wide range of issues including post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma/attachment, disordered eating/body image, spiritual crisis, adjustment to life transitions, domestic violence, identity, career questions, parent coaching, adoption, chronic illness or family members of those with chronic illness, communication and conflict resolution.
Jessie’s business background in sales and marketing often complements her clinical work with a variety of clients. In addition, Jessie is passionate about health, wellness, and natural living and loves to incorporate a relational, mind, body, and spirit approach to therapy as a result. In her spare time you can find Jessie with her family, being active outdoors, cooking nutrient rich food, and spending time with friends.
