Education & Experience
Since obtaining her masters degree from The University of Texas at Austin, Katie has experienced working with a variety of issues as she has had vast experience in working with all ages. She is passionate about seeing broken relationships restored and walking with people as they learn to understand themselves and others through the truth of the gospel. Katie has received specialized training in working with trauma through becoming a TBRI Educator to support parents and children. Katie has also been trained in EMDR (Eye Motion Desensitization and Reprocessing) and is currently implementing this technique in her counseling through a gospel centered lens. She is currently working towards complete certification in this model set by the EMDRIA criteria found at emdria.org.
Katie has lived in Austin for 15 years and has fond memories of watching football games and singing in a gospel choir at UT. She enjoys being active on sunny days around town.
