Education and Experience

Lia received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2010. From there, she obtained her certification as an emergency medical technician and worked as a first responder for 6 years. During that time, she began graduate studies to become a counselor. She completed her master’s degree in counseling in December of 2020 from Crown College.
Lia has worked with adult individuals and premarital and married couples. She has experience in working with clients with depression, anxiety, cultural issues, childhood trauma, marital conflict, communication issues, sexual issues, and sexual abuse. Lia uses professional methodologies to explore the events of clients’ lives, and the gospel as a means to interpret them and help clients make meaning of them. Lia sees clients ages 16 and up.


Lia has been an Austinite since 2010. She and her husband have 2 daughters. Lia enjoys singing and playing music, reading, cooking, and spending time with loved ones.
