Education & Experience

Mike graduated from Toccoa Falls College in 2018 with a Bachelor’s in Counseling Psychology. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University. Mike’s path to become a professional counselor is one that has not followed a traditional route, yet was birthed out of many unique life experiences, paired with a renewed calling by God to partner with those passing through difficult times in their lives. A natural born people person, Mike has always easily related to anyone that he meets and puts people at ease with his relaxed demeanor. His experience as a business owner/operator for most of his adult life, a foreign missionary, a husband of thirty-one years, a father of three adult children, and a grandfather of seven, gives Mike a unique perspective on many of the issues that we all face.

Interests & Specialties

One of the greatest gifts that we have been given by God is life itself, yet often, we struggle to survive, and not thrive as He intended. Whether you are struggling with relational issues, anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, problematic children, or anything else, it is Mike’s belief that there is light at the end of the tunnel, if you are willing to do the work. Mike looks forward to walking alongside of you as you progress toward thriving in the abundant life that God intended for you to have.
